Former Sheriff of Kolkata – Mr Probir Roy is a fellow of Indian Institute of Chemical Engineers and Indian Chemical Society. A Chemical Engineer with an MBA, over the past 35 years he has served on the boards of various public & private sector organisations. Recipient of the Scope Award as Best Managing Director of Public Sector Company from the Honorable Prime Minister Shri Atal Behari Vajpayee and a former President of Calcutta Club, he is also the author of “House of Roys” a 400-year family saga against the backdrop of the Bengal Renaissance.
